Pre Funding Options

What is Pre-Funding?

1) You would meet with our Funeral Directors to set out a desired Funeral Plan. Here with your wishes in place, our Funeral Directors will give you a total cost of your arrangement.

2) At this point we will bring out a Familyside Policy Form. Familyside of Assurant Canada works as an insurance policy for your funeral arrangements. Your funeral director will ask for information and a few health questions to make sure you are eligible for the policy.

3) From here, it is time for you to select how you woud like to finance your arrangement. Our policies allow you to be very flexible and to make your arrangements very affordable. You can make a one time, monthly, semi annual, yearly, 5 years, or 10 year payment plan.

4) Finally the form is signed by you and mailed to Assurant Life of Canada were they create the policy. We mail you a certificate once completed. It is that simple.

When you place your funds in a Familyside Policy your money can grow yearly, 2-3%. This growth can offset our future costs from inflation. Thus ensuring our costs are guaranteed for years to come. We call it our Inflation Proof Plan.

Example: Calculating Cost of Funeral Arrangement of $3200

When the death occurs. Our Funeral Directors will be notified and complete your wishes that you planned. The funds allocated for the funeral arrangements will be sent to your beneficiary in the arrangement to take care of the funeral expenses.
