Obituary for
Malcolm Harold MacCallum
Malcolm (Mal) Harold MacCallum – July 27, 1942 – April 1, 2017
It is with deep sadness and loss that we announce the passing of our father, Brother and loving partner. Mal (aka Angel) passed away peacefully at his home in Britannia Beach. He will be forever remembered by his loving partner Deborah Matheson, his sister Gail Ditto, his daughters Lana (Stan) Laskovic, Carol (Christopher) Hayes, Wendy (Eddie) Celella, his Grandchildren Kristina, Tyler, Lathen, Sheldon, Stacy-Marie, Audrey, James and his Great Grandchildren Kaiden, Kaiya & Riley.
Mal lived life to the fullest, he was an avid golfer, skier, and he had a passion for fishing & hunting. Throughout his life he had traveled to many different countries, his favourite was Napali Shores in Maui, and with each adventure there was always a story to tell, whether he had the best score in golf, fastest time down the ski hill, or you should have seen the fish I caught. As a Co-Owner of Graehold and Murrin, he worked all over British Columbia building highways, his passion later in years was the Murrin Gravel Pit. We will all remember his thunderous laugh, and his smile that captured the hearts of many.
The Family is forever grateful to the Britannia Beach Fire Department, BC Ambulance Service, RCMP, Squamish Funeral Home and the many friends and Co-workers.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Celebration of life will be held at the Norman Rudy’s Bar & Grill in the Executive Suites Hotel & Resort on May 28, 2017 at 2:00pm. To write a condolence to the family please visit squamishfuneralchapel.com.
