Beverly Dawson (nee Hill)
February 19, 1954 - August 11, 2017
Bev passed away in comfort, surrounded by her family, at her home in Lantzville, B.C.. Bev lived in Squamish most of her life, and had recently moved to Vancouver Island. She celebrated 28 years of employment with School District #48, retiring in June 2016. Bev was a passionate advocate for workers rights and loved her job. Bev loved gardening, baking, and spending her time with family. She is survived by her husband Steve, children Cheryl, Virginia (Chris), Gord (Jaime), grandchildren Tristan and Ayla, sister Cheryl Dew (John), and a large extended family. Special thanks to nurse practitioner Lise Dawson, The ALS Society of BC, and the many nurses and home support workers who provided compassionate care. A celebration of life will be held on August 20th at 12:00 PM at the Squamish Funeral Chapel, 40440 Tantalus Rd, Squamish. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Society of BC (www.alsbc.ca).
